Who am I, and am i doing here? Well, lets start off by telling you my name, I am Kyle Roudabush, but a lot like to call me Kairu in real life as I live with another Kyle. I am a 20 year old guy that just started to re-love Pokemon thanks to a friend who will be joining us on this adventure. He is the one that introduced me to the whole hardcore Pokemon, where we started to talk and plan on a attack on a new adventure with Pokemon white.
Now you are probably asking yourself "What is Pokemon hardcore?" basically in a nut shell, if your Pokemon faints you release it, never to return to your side. I will go further into details later. But I want to point out that, on this adventure we are not going to be using rules exactly from other sources over the internet expect for make up our own and use ideas (and possibly one or two from other sources).
The point of Pokemon Hardcore is have a new experience with the game. Neither of my friend or I have explored the game (exception of the first gym), so having the rules laid out and actually exploring the game will be very entertaining and a most challenging game. When the game is over (after the elite four) we will battle each other and see who is the better trainer.
The rules are simple as follows:
1. If a Pokemon faints, you have to release the Pokemon. This can be due to ANYTHING. ALL POKEMON. If all available Pokemon (including PC Pokemon) faint then you have to restart the game.
2. The first Pokemon you see in a route is the only Pokemon you can capture. You may only capture one of that Pokemon. If you kill the Pokemon you may come back and capture it.
3. Only one Pokemon per route, water route, cave. The only exception here is Pokemon that are given to you.
4. If you get an evolved Pokemon from an event, and then find a de-evolved version in the wild, with the rules above, (or if you get an early version of a Pokemon from an event and already have a evolved version/same Pokemon) you must release the old Pokemon and keep the new one.
5. ALL Pokemon must have a nickname.
6. Only one of each Pokemon is aloud, so if a previous capture Pokemon pops up on a new route,
We are aloud to do anything else, such as battle normally, use potions normally, and buy as many things as we like. We also are aloud to come back to a route and capture the first Pokemon previously if we did not do that. But here is the catch, if you lose all your Pokemon and even if you have Pokemon to catch that you decided not to on a route you already visited, it is still game over.
